You Only Live Twice (1967)

This is an original, linen-backed, one-sheet movie poster from 1967 for Ian Fleming's You Only Live Twice starring Sean Connery, Akiko Wakabayashi, Mie Hama, Donald Pleasence, Bernard Lee, Lois Maxwell and Desmond Llewelyn. Lewis Gilbert directed the classic James Bond film.  Robert McGinnis is the artist for the poster.

The Style C poster measures 27” x 41” and and has been linen-backed for long-term preservation and display. The poster was in good to very good condition prior to restoration with some rippling along parts of the lower half of the poster.  There was previously a sticker (or snipe) placed over the word "IS" at the top of the poster prior to theatrical display.  Reportedly, Sean Connery did not like the phrase "Sean Connery IS James Bond" and preferred "Sean Connery AS James Bond."  As part of this dispute, several Style C posters (including this one) had the word "IS" covered up prior to theatrical display.  The poster was folded at the time of printing but the folds are much less noticeable after linen-backing.  The poster is in excellent, restored condition.  It will be rolled for shipping in a rigid, tube mailer.

Please look closely at the photos (this is the exact poster you are buying). It is not cropped or a stock image. The black squares on the corners of the poster are magnets and not pins.
