This is an original, international one-sheet movie poster from 1975 for Dog Day Afternoon starring Al Pacino, John Cazale, James Broderick, Charles Durning and Chris Sarandon. Sidney Lumet directed the New York-bank robbery film that was based on a true story.
The poster was printed in the United States for use in theaters outside the country. It has different artwork from the domestic posters. It measures 27" x 41" and is in good to very good condition with light creasing along the left edge and some minor fold wear. It was folded at the time of printing and there are pinhole separations at the top and middle cross-folds. Most folds flatten out nicely for framing and are often desirable for vintage, collectible movie posters. The poster was displayed internationally and there is a light, red censor stamp in the upper-right corner.
Please look closely at the photo (this is the exact poster you are buying). It is not cropped or a stock image.
This rare and collectible poster, printed in 1975 to promote the international theatrical release of Dog Day Afternoon, is not a reproduction or a reprint.
