This is an original French movie poster from 1968 for Planet of the Apes starring Charlton Heston, Roddy McDowall, Maurice Evans, Kim Hunter, James Whitmore and Linda Harrison. Franklin J. Schaffner directed the classic science fiction film. Jean Mascii is the artist for the poster.
This rare and collectible poster, printed in 1968 to promote the French theatrical release of Planet of the Apes, is not a reproduction or a reprint.
The poster measures 22.75" x 30" and has been linen-backed for long-term preservation and display. The poster was in very good condition prior to linen-backing. Like most original French movie posters, it was folded after printing but the folds are less noticeable after linen-backing. The poster had minor fold wear and a tiny bit of paper loss in the upper-right corner.
Please look closely at the photo (this is the exact poster you are buying). The black circles in the corners are magnets to hold the poster down and are not any defect or part of the poster.
