Halloween (1978)

This is an original, linen-backed, one-sheet movie poster from 1978 for Halloween starring Jamie Lee Curtis, Donald Pleasence, P.J. Soles, Nancy Kyes, Tony Moran and Will Sandin. John Carpenter directed the horror classic and Bob Gleason is the artist for the poster.

The film had a limited release around Halloween in 1978 and the first batch of posters printed to promote the film had a blue tint over the MPAA rating box. After the movie became a hit and was released in additional theaters, more posters were printed with a black ratings box.

This poster is from the initial, limited release of Halloween and features the blue tinted ratings box.

The poster measures 27" x 41" and has been linen-backed for long-term preservation and display. It was in very good condition prior to restoration with pinholes from theatrical display and some minor edge wear and surface creasing. The poster was folded at the time of printing. The fold lines are barely noticeable after linen-backing. Linen-backed posters are stored flat and rolled for shipping in a rigid, tube mailer.

Please look closely at the photos (this is the exact poster you are buying). It is not a stock image. The black squares in the corners of the poster are magnets and not pins.
